For code work (oil & Gas and most other pipe bending), we conform to all applicable codes (CSA, ASME/ASTM, API, PFI) and we also make sure our customers’ procedures and specifications are followed. For non-code work, we follow our comprehensive in-house Quality Manual and Practices and Procedures which include many checks and balances to ensure things are done efficiently and correctly.
All work is overseen by our Project Manager and Quality Assurance (QA) staff and nothing is considered ready for shipment until they have signed off on the work.
For code work, we do destructive testing and non-destructive examination (NDE), issue project reports on completion, and maintain project and QA records indefinitely.
We maintain a large database of Mill Test Reports (MTRs), not just on pipe but on most of the process tube and structural we use. Our projects requiring MTRs ship with copies and project reports are sent separately to our customers’ designated representative. Third-party inspectors are welcome to review and inspect work in process or on completion.
All coatings applied either in-house or by subcontract are subject to strict quality controls suitable for each coating, e.g. holiday testing, dry film thickness (DFT) measurements, blast profile examinations, and results are included in our project reports where reports are required.
Should there be a problem anywhere along the line, from materials and suppliers/subcontractors, through process and shipping to field receipt and installation, we work quickly to resolve the problems and the follow up with internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to ensure all parties are informed of the problem, the solution and changes to be made (if required).
We work hard at being transparent and accountable.
